SSAFA Forces Help

(Soldiers Sailors, Airman and Families Association)

The Hastings and Rother Division of SSFA Forces Help is in need of some Volunteers to help with their work in assisting serving and ex-service men and women and their families who are in need. Funds raised for them come from Military and Civilian charities to supply their specific needs, and we offer advice, support and friendship to all who have been in the Services, or their dependants.

Our Volunteers come from all walks of life, not necessarily from the military. Volunteers receive two and a half days training, usually in London, and are required to undergo the CRB check needed for all volunteers working with vulnerable people. The hours are flexible, usually between 4-6 hours a week, or to suit your circumstances.

The Hastings Division has been in existence since 1865, and is the largest Division in Sussex. Our Volunteers are part of a team and regular meetings are held so that information and knowledge are pooled to the advantage of everyone.
